Top Jaylon Thomas News

  • Texans' Jaylon Thomas: Healthy for OTAs

Thomas (undisclosed) has been taking part in Houston's offseason training activities, Aaron Wilson of Sports Talk 790 reports.

Thomas didn't play at all last season, as he landed on IR prior to the start of the campaign due to an undisclosed issue. The SMU product has been working with the Texans' second-team offensive line during OTAs, per Wilson, so he appears to now be healthy. Thomas has played just three offensive snaps as a pro (in 2023 with the Giants) but is trying to land a spot on Houston's roster.

  • Texans' Jaylon Thomas: Reverts to IR

Thomas (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve with the Texans on Sunday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Thomas will now need to reach an injury settlement with Houston in order to play during the 2024 season. The offensive lineman is dealing with an undisclosed injury.

  • Jaylon Thomas: Cut loose by Houston

The Texans waived/injured Thomas on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Thomas signed a future/reserve contract with the Texans in January after being cut by the Ravens at the end of training camp in 2023. If he goes unclaimed while on waivers, he will revert to Houston's injured reserve and will be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless the two sides reach an injury settlement.
