Packers' Corey Ballentine: Ruled out for Week 8
Ballentine (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Ballentine was a DNP for all three practices this week due to an ankle injury, and he will miss his first game of the regular season. His next chance at suiting up will be Week 9 against the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 3. Eric Stokes will be the Packers' top corner reserve Sunday behind starters Keisean Nixon and Jaire Alexander.

Ballentine (ankle) did not practice Friday and has been listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Ballentine has been unable to practice all week due to an ankle injury, and it's unlikely that he'll play Sunday. If he's indeed inactive, Eric Stokes would operate as the Packers' top backup corner behind starters Jaire Alexander and Keisean Nixon.

Ballentine is dealing with an undisclosed non-football injury as the Packers open training camp Monday. The cornerback is expected to compete with Carrington Valentine and Robert Rochell, among others, for reps in Green Bay's secondary in 2024. While on the active/NFI list, Ballentine is eligible to return to practice and play at any point this preseason.

Ballentine accounted for a season high in tackles, trailing only linebacker Quay Walker in total team tackles for the defense, and played all 67 of the Packers defensive snaps. With Jaire Alexander battling a shoulder injury over the last four weeks, the Packers have relied heavily on Ballentine in the secondary.
