Rams' Puka Nacua: Doubtful to play in Week 3
Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Nacua (hip) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at Denver, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Nacua thus is poised to miss a second consecutive contest due to a hip injury, but McVay relayed to Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com that if the wide receiver isn't able to play this weekend, he likely will be back for a Week 4 road matchup with the Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 4, barring a setback. Assuming Nacua is inactive this Sunday, the Rams will roll with WR Davante Adams as their top pass catcher, with a smattering of wide receivers and tight ends also available to QB Matthew Stafford.

Rams' Puka Nacua: Remains sidelined at practice
Nacua (hip) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Nacua now hasn't practiced for the past week due to a hip injury, though head coach Sean McVay has alternatively called the issue "soreness in his groin." Ian Rapoport of NFL Network even reported Thursday morning that Nacua didn't seem to be making much progress in his recovery from the concern, leaving his status up in the air for Sunday's game at Denver. Nacua will have one more chance to mix into drills Friday, after which the Rams could make a ruling on his availability for Week 3. If Nacua isn't able to suit up this weekend, Davante Adams again will be the unquestioned top pass catcher for QB Matthew Stafford.

Rams' Puka Nacua: Week 3 availability in doubt
Nacua, who was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, doesn't appear to be making much progress in his recovery from a groin injury and could be trending toward a second consecutive absence Sunday against the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Rams are taking a cautious approach with the star wide receiver, whom head coach Sean McVay noted Wednesday isn't dealing with a hernia and isn't facing a long-term absence, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com. Nacua's participation level will bear monitoring when the Rams hold practice Thursday, but at this point in the week, the wideout may be trending toward sitting out that session, as well as the Rams' next game Sunday. While Nacua was sidelined for the Rams' 28-6 win over the Giants on Monday, Davante Adams moved into the No. 1 wideout role and stepped up with 195 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Nacua (groin) will not practice Wednesday, but head coach Sean McVay indicated he could practice later this week, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Nacua sat out the final two practice sessions the Rams held prior to Monday's victory over the Giants and ultimately missed Week 2, and he remained unavailable Wednesday. If Nacua is able to get some work in for either or both of the next two days as McVay hopes, he has a chance to return to the field in Week 3.

Rams' Puka Nacua: Status uncertain heading into Week 3
Rams head coach Sean McVay acknowledged Tuesday that he's uncertain if Nacua (groin) will be available for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. "I'm not sure what his status is as far as this next coming week," McVay said of Nacua. "I'm hopeful that he'll play.... If he's ready to go, great. If not, then we'll continue to roll."
Nacua was inactive for Monday's 28-6 win over the Giants due to groin soreness, an issue that kept him from practicing Friday and Saturday. Though McVay is hopeful that the star wideout's absence will be contained to one game, Nacua's status for Week 3 will be murky until he's able to get back on the practice field. While Nacua was sidelined for the Week 2 win, Davante Adams stepped in as quarterback Matthew Stafford's top target and finished with a magnificent 8-195-2 receiving line.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Sunday morning that Nacua would be a "pre-game decision" before relaying Monday that the wide receiver was "trending the wrong way" to play. Now that Nacua's inactive status is confirmed -- along with Jordan Whittington's (quadriceps) -- Davante Adams will be the team's featured WR in Week 2, with Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell also on hand for reps. Nacua's next chance for game action is this coming Sunday at Denver.

Nacua (hip), who is officially listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Giants, "is trending the wrong way" in advance of the Week 2 contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After being added to the Rams' injury report Friday, Nacua proceeded to miss the team's final two practices of the week due to a sore hip. Though the Rams are likely to treat Nacua as a gameday decision with a call on his status perhaps going all the way down to the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, the wideout currently seems to be trending toward sitting out the Week 2 matchup. With that in mind, fantasy managers planning on including Nacua in lineups this week will want to have an alternative option available to pivot to Monday in the event he sits out.
