Seahawks' Derick Hall: Fantastic showing in Super Bowl
Hall recorded 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble in Sunday's 29-13 win over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks' plethora of pass rushers was a difference maker in this game, and Hall was legitimately in the MVP conversation with his performance. Hall recorded just 2.0 sacks through 14 regular-season games, but he matched that total on the biggest stage. The 2023 second-round pick dropped Patriots QB Drake Maye for a 10-yard loss on the first drive of the game. He added a strip-sack in the waning seconds of the third quarter with the ball being recovered by second-year DT Byron Murphy. Hall will be in the final year of his rookie contract in 2026, making him an extension candidate this offseason.

Seahawks' Derick Hall: Notches sack in return
Hall recorded 1.0 sacks on his only tackle in Saturday's 13-3 win over the 49ers.
Hall returned from his suspension to play 50 percent of the defensive snaps in the crucial divisional game. The 2023 second-round pick piled up 8.0 sacks in 2024, but he posted just 2.0 sacks this season due to the stellar play of DE Leonard Williams and LB Uchenna Nwosu, who both stacked up 7.0 sacks. Hall should continue to handle a middling role during the postseason.

Seahawks' Derick Hall: Suspension lifted
The NFL lifted Hall's one-game suspension Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hall was handed a one-game suspension for unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct during the Seahawks' overtime win over the Rams in Week 16, when he stepped on Kevin Dotson's leg. That prevented him from playing in Seattle's Week 17 win over Carolina, but now that the suspension has been lifted, Hall will be available for Saturday's regular-season finale against San Francisco, a game that will determine who enters the playoffs as the NFC's No. 1 seed.

Seahawks' Derick Hall: Suspended for one game
Hall was given a one-game suspension by the NFL on Friday for an act of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct during Thursday's 38-37 overtime win over the Rams, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The third-year pro from Auburn stepped on Kevin Dotson's leg in the first quarter of Thursday's contest, leading to his suspension. Hall has appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks this season, recording 29 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and two passes defensed. Uchenna Nwosu will likely serve as Seattle's top reserve outside linebacker while Hall is sidelined for the Week 17 matchup against the Panthers.

An oblique injury sidelined Hall for the Seahawks' last two games, but he got the green light to play Week 9 after logging an LP-LP-FP practice log. He started in each of the two games prior to his injury, so his return will eat into the rotational defensive snaps available for Uchenna Nwosu, Connor O'Toole and Jared Ivey. Hall has been sidelined for the Seahawks' last two practices and has been unable to practice since sustaining an oblique injury in Week 5 against the Buccaneers. If he's able to return to practice following the Week 8 bye, that would put the 2023 second-rounder in line to return for Week 9 against Washington. Uchenna Nwosu has seen a significant increase at outside linebacker over the Seahawks' last three games, so his workload on defense would likely decrease once Hall is cleared to return.
