Commanders' Nick Cross: Ruled out versus Seattle
Cross (undisclosed) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Seahawks, Tashan Reed of The Washington Post reports.
It's unknown what kind of issue Cross is dealing with or if it will result in a stint on injured reserve. For now, he will at least be unavailable versus Seattle in Week 3. Without Cross on the field, Quan Martin could be in line for more snaps.

Commanders' Nick Cross: Monitored in Dallas for injury
Cross (undisclosed) stayed in Dallas overnight Sunday due to an internal injury, and his status for Week 3 against the Seahawks is up in the air, Ben Standig of Big 100 Washington D.C. reports.
Cross picked up the injury at some point during the Commanders' 37-20 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, when he played every single defensive snap while logging three solo tackles. He was cleared to fly back to Virginia on Monday, and Wednesday's injury report should provide some clarity on his status for Week 3. Quan Martin would figure to be the next man up at safety if Cross were to miss time.

Cross logged eight tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Eagles.
Cross played 98 percent of the Commanders' defensive snaps in the contest and was on the field for 54 plays. The starting strong safety did not play a single special-teams snap in the game and was purely a defender.

Cross is set to sign with the Commanders, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Cross is an extremely durable safety, playing in all 17 regular-season games for the Colts over the 2025 season and logging 94 percent or more of the defensive snaps in 14 of those contests. The 24-year-old will be a youthful addition to a defense that has prioritized acquiring mainly older veteran players over the past few seasons.
