Falcons' Joe Gaziano: Signs with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Gaziano on Monday.
Gaziano is now set to join Atlanta in 2023 following his three-season stint with the Chargers. The 280-pounder was limited to just five games played last season due to undisclosed injuries, but from Week 11-15, he operated as a rotational defensive lineman and amassed eight tackles and one sack in that span.

Joe Gaziano: Set for unrestricted free agency
The Chargers did not extend Gaziano (undisclosed) a qualifying offer or tender, making him an unrestricted free agent this offseason, per the NFL's communications site.
Gaziano appeared in just five games during the 2022 campaign from Week 11 through Week 15. In that time, the veteran defensive end saw limited playing time while recording just eight tackles (six solo) and one sack. Gaziano now enters free agency with the ability to negotiate and sign with another team during the offseason.

Chargers' Joe Gaziano: Placed on IR
The Chargers placed Gaziano (undisclosed) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Gaziano made five straight appearances from Week 11 through Week 15, totaling eight tackles and one sack. His lone sack came in the Chargers win over Tennessee, but Gaziano apparently also suffered an undisclosed injury during the contest. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but the third-year defensive end will be forced to miss at least four games after landing on IR, meaning he'll be eligible to return this season if the Chargers make the playoffs.

Gaziano (ankle) will compete for a spot on the initial 53-man roster during training camp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Gaziano made 14 appearances last season and recorded 13 tackles. However, he ended the 2021 campaign with an ankle injury and is slated to vie with fellow defensive linemen Breiden Fehoko and Forrest Merrill this summer.

Gaziano tested positive for COVID, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. He's appeared in 13 games for the Chargers this season in a rotational role on their defensive line. Gaziano could still compete Sunday against the Texans if he is able to produce two negative tests at least 24 hours apart.
