Vikings' Elijah Williams: Won't return vs. Vikings
Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's contest against Minnesota.
Williams was initially listed as questionable to return to action Thursday, but his ankle injury is severe enough that he'll spend the remainder of Christmas Day sidelined. The depth defensive lineman's next opportunity to take the field will come Sunday, Jan. 4 versus the Packers in Week 18.

Vikings' Elijah Williams: Picks up ankle injury
Williams (ankle) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Lions.
Williams sustained his ankle injury late in the second quarter of Thursday's divisional matchup. If he's unable to retake the field versus Detroit, both Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and Levi Drake Rodriguez could see slight upticks in the amount of reserve defensive snaps allotted to them.

Williams (hamstring) was deemed a full participant in a practice walkthrough Wednesday.
Williams didn't play Week 1 against the Bears on Monday due to a hamstring issue, but he seems to be clear of the injury. As such, he may be able to suit up Sunday versus Atlanta.

Williams joined the Vikings as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. He impressively made the initial roster but will be sidelined for at least the first week of his rookie campaign. Williams will likely draw very few defensive snaps upon his return.
