Giants' Graham Gano: Moves to IR
The Giants placed Gano (neck) on injured reserve Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
With his placement on IR for a second time this season, Gano's campaign is officially over after making five appearances and connecting on nine of 10 field-goal attempts and all nine point-after tries. Younghoe Koo is set to kick for the Giants in the short term, but the team also has Jude McAtamney on the practice squad as another option to handle placekicking duties.

Giants' Graham Gano: No practice Wednesday
Gano (neck) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Gano hasn't practiced since being diagnosed with a herniated disc in his neck last Wednesday. New York hasn't made the move to place him on injured reserve, so he seemingly isn't poised to miss three games in addition to this past Sunday's loss at Chicago. Having said that, Younghoe Koo is set to kick for the Giants for as long as Gano is sidelined.

Gano (neck) won't practice Friday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Gano didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday, either, and is trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Bears. With that in mind, coach Brian Daboll said Friday he would "assume it's going to be" Younghoe Koo kicking for the Giants this weekend but added that the team will see how Gano feels before making a final determination on that front.

Gano (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
The Giants will bring Younghoe Koo up from the practice squad to kick this week. Gano didn't practice at all, which suggests he's in danger of missing time beyond Sunday.

Giants' Graham Gano: Status in question for Week 10
Gano (neck) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Before returning from injured reserve Week 8 and handling kicking duties in each of the Giants' last two contests, Gano had missed four games due to a groin injury. A new health concern has kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday, with Gano disclosing that he experienced discomfort in his neck last week and has since being diagnosed with a herniated disc, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. He received a spinal injection Wednesday to treat the injury and is hoping that he'll be able to kick during the Giants' final practice of the week Friday. The Giants will assess Gano's condition following Friday's practice before deciding if he'll be ready to play Sunday in Chicago. If Gano ends up being ruled out for Week 10, head coach Brian Daboll said that Younghoe Koo will be promoted from the practice squad to serve as the Giants' placekicker, according to Evan Barnes of Newsday.

Gano was on injured reserve Weeks 4-7 due to a groin injury, and in two games since returning to action, he's combined to make three of four field-goal attempts and all five point-after tries. The Giants are still rostering two kickers (Younghoe Koo and Jude McAtamney) on the practice squad as insurance in the event Gano needs to miss any time. Ultimately, Gano likely will need to practice Thursday and/or Friday to have a chance to be active Sunday in Chicago.

Giants' Graham Gano: Goes 1-for-2 on FG tries in Week 9
Gano made one of two field-goal attempts and converted all three of his extra-point tries Sunday in a loss to San Francisco.
Gano was wide left on a 45-yard try just before halftime to conclude an ugly first half for the Giants. He did manage to convert a chip-shot 22-yarder midway through the third quarter and made all three of his extra-point attempts. The field-goal miss was Gano's first of the campaign -- he had been 8-for-8 coming into Sunday, though he's missed four contests due to a groin injury.

Gano connected on both of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during the Giants' 38-20 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Gano was activated from injured reserve Saturday and cleared to return from a four-game absence due to a groin injury he sustained during pregame warmups in Week 3 against the Chiefs. He connected on a 47-yard field goal late in the second quarter before nailing a 34-yard try late in the third frame. Gano has made all eight of his field-goal attempts and all six extra-point tries across four regular-season games.

As expected, Gano will return to action in Week 8, marking his first appearance since suffering a groin injury during pregame warmups ahead of Week 3 against the Chiefs. The veteran kicker was a perfect 9-for-9 during the first two weeks of the season, including 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts. However, only one of those makes was from beyond 40 yards.
