New York Rangers forward Brandon Prust will have a disciplinary hearing on Sunday following his elbow to the head of New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov.
The incident occurred early in the second period, and there was no penalty called on the play.
Volchenkov did not appear to be injured, but immediately after the game Devils coach Pete DeBoer referred to the play as "headhunting" on the part of Prust.
As always, it needs to be pointed out that even though a disciplinary hearing is scheduled it's not a guarantee that the NHL will hand out any punishment, whether it be a fine or a suspension.
The Rangers won Saturday's game, 3-0, and take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Monday night.
