Terms of the contracts were not released by the team.
Oduya was acquired by the Blackhawks from the Winnipeg Jets prior to the trade deadline this past season. In 81 games between the two teams, he scored three goals to go with 15 assists. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 had he not re-signed with the Blackhawks before then. With Oduya now in the mix for three more years, Chicago now has five defensemen signed for at least the next two seasons as he joins Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Steve Montador.
Mayers signed with the Blackhawks on the first day of free agency this past summer and appeared in 81 games, scoring six goals while being credited with nine assists.
