Before turning pro, Blake produced 22 goals and 60 points in 40 games during his sophomore season with the University of North Dakota in 2023-24. He logged 15:18 of ice time against Columbus on April 16 during his NHL debut, posting two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating. Blake should see plenty of ice time in the minors this campaign and could be a call-up option for the Hurricanes at some point.
