Lightning's Pontus Holmberg: Recovering from fractured clavicle
Holmberg sustained a fractured clavicle against Buffalo on April 6, per Evan Closky of 10 Tampa Bay News on Tuesday.
While an exact timeline for Holmberg's return never materialized, this type of injury can take 6-12 weeks to recover from. He has plenty of time to heal now that Tampa Bay has been eliminated from the playoffs, and he should be available for training camp in the fall. Holmberg had 11 goals, 22 points, 90 shots on net and 66 hits across 70 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.

Lightning's Charle-Edouard D'Astous: Nabs assist Sunday
D'Astous notched a power-play assist and two hits in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Canadiens in Game 7.
D'Astous missed Games 2-5 in the first round due to an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old went from a relative unknown to a staple in the Lightning's lineup this year, logging 29 points, 80 shots on net, 96 hits, 74 blocked shots and 112 PIM over 70 regular-season outings. D'Astous signed a one-year contract extension in January, so expect him to be in the Opening Night lineup to begin 2026-27.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Season ends with brutal loss
Vasilevskiy stopped just seven of nine shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Canadiens in Game 7.
Tampa Bay dominated play and out-shot Montreal 29-9 in the game, but Vasilevskiy got beat twice on shots he had almost no chance at -- one a Nick Suzuki redirection in the first period, and the second in the final frame when Alex Newhook batted the puck out of midair on his backhand from an almost impossible angle and had it deflect home off the netminder's leg. Vasilevskiy will head home and await the results of the Vezina voting after posting a 2.18 GAA and .897 save percentage over seven playoff games, following a regular season in which he had a 39-15-4 record with a 2.31 GAA and .911 save percentage over 58 outings.

Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Plays OT hero in Game 6
Goncalves scored the overtime winner Friday in the Lightning's 1-0 victory over the Canadiens in Game 6 of their first-round series.
The 25-year-old winger scored the greasiest of goals midway through the first extra period, camping out in front of Jakub Dobes and banging home his own rebound after Dominic James shoveled the puck into the crease. It was Goncalves' first goal and second point of the postseason, and the bottom-six grinder's heroics kept the Lightning's campaign alive and forced a Game 7 on Sunday.
