  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Dealing with illness

Lankinen was "under the weather," according to head coach Adam Foote, making the goaltender unavailable to suit up versus the Mammoth on Saturday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. It's unclear if Lankinen will be ready to go Tuesday versus the Golden Knights, though the Canucks could just opt to shut him down, considering they've already secured the worst record in the league. Jiri Patera received an emergency recall from AHL Abbotsford on Saturday to cover Lankinen's absence.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Wins chaotic game

Lankinen stopped 24 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Avalanche. The Canucks were up 6-2 at one point, but Lankinen let in four straight after that. Marcus Pettersson saved the day late, scoring the game-winner at 14:21 of the third period and setting up Brock Boeser for an empty-netter. This ended a stretch of six outings without a win for Lankinen, though it's no surprise that he struggled even in a victory. The 30-year-old netminder is now 9-26-5 with a 3.69 GAA and an .875 save percentage over 44 appearances this season. Nikita Tolopilo is likely to get the nod in Minnesota on Thursday.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Tending twine Wednesday

Lankinen will patrol the road crease versus the Avalanche on Wednesday, Canucks Insider reports. Lankinen has gone six games without securing a win, posting a record of 0-5-0 and a 3.86 GAA over that stretch. Lankinen is poised to have a career-worst season in save percentage (.877) and GAA (3.63). He has earned only eight victories across 43 appearances this season.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Tagged with another loss

Lankinen stopped 30 of 33 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with 1:10 left in the third period. Lankinen has gone winless in his last six appearances, going 0-5-0 with a 3.86 GAA and an .873 save percentage on 166 shots against in that stretch. Considering the significant problems the Canucks have had all season defensively, it's hard to trust Lankinen in most formats even if he has a tight grip on the starting role between the Vancouver pipes.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Defending crease Monday

Lankinen will protect the road net against the Golden Knights on Monday, per Olivia McDonald of Canucks Insider. Lankinen has one win through nine appearances in March, posting a 1-5-1 record while allowing 28 goals on 237 shots. He has gone 8-25-5 this campaign with a 3.65 GAA and an .876 save percentage across 42 appearances. Vegas sits in a tie for 14th in the league with 3.12 goals per game this season.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Struggles in relief outing

Lankinen gave up three goals on 12 shots in relief of Nikita Tolopilo in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Flames. Lankinen got some rest for a period, but Tolopilo was pulled after giving up the fourth goal. Lankinen has allowed 18 goals on 133 shots (.865 save percentage) during a winless stretch of five appearances. That's somehow worse than his overall numbers, which are at a 3.65 GAA and an .876 save percentage in 42 outings this season, to go with an 8-25-5 record. The Canucks may opt to keep Lankinen heavily in the starting role down the stretch to avoid wrecking Tolopilo's confidence. Avoid the Vancouver crease at all costs, especially with road matchups in Vegas, Colorado and Minnesota next on the slate for the Canucks.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: On wrong end of shutout

Lankinen stopped 34 of 37 shots in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Kings. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Lankinen took his fourth loss in a row. He's allowed 15 goals on 121 shots in that span. The Canucks have given him just six goals of support during this skid, so it doesn't look like he's going to get much help. The 30-year-old dropped to 8-25-5 with a 3.62 GAA and an .877 save percentage over 41 appearances this season. Lankinen may have the playing time, but he's best avoided in most fantasy formats. The Canucks are set to head out on a road trip, beginning Saturday in Calgary.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Between pipes Thursday

Lankinen will make his fifth straight start in net Thursday at home versus Los Angeles, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Lankinen has lost three games in a row, giving him an 8-24-5 record with a 3.63 GAA and an .876 save percentage over 40 games. The Kings are 29th in NHL scoring, averaging 2.61 goals per game.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Surrenders four goals in loss

Lankinen stopped 29 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Ducks. The fifth goal was an empty-netter. The Canucks kept it close for much of the game, but they came up a goal short. Lankinen is now on a three-game losing streak with 12 goals allowed on 84 shots in that span. That's fairly poor performance even by Lankinen's shaky standards this season. He's down to 8-24-5 with a 3.63 GAA and an .876 save percentage over 40 appearances. The Canucks host the Kings on Thursday, and given Lankinen's recent play, Nikita Tolopilo may be due for a start soon.

Lankinen will be between the home pipes against Anaheim on Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Lankinen is 1-3-1 with a 3.26 GAA and an .884 save percentage over six appearances in March. The Finnish netminder has lost back-to-back games against the Lightning and Blues while giving up a combined eight goals on 51 shots in those outings. The Ducks are currently holding the top spot in the Pacific Division and are 16-17-2 on the road this season.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Tagged with loss vs. Blues

Lankinen stopped 18 of 20 shots faced in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Blues. The final goal was an empty-netter. Lankinen was beaten twice over a 79-second span in the second period, and by the time the Blues added a third goal, the 30-year-old netminder was already on the bench. Lankinen has dropped three of his last four starts in regulation, but with a save percentage of .900 or higher in three of those four contests, Lankinen's play has been better than what the numbers indicate.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Facing Lightning

Lankinen will patrol the home crease versus Tampa Bay on Thursday, per Farhan Lalji of TSN. Lankinen is having a tough season, as far as the stats are concerned. He is 8-21-5 with a 3.60 GAA and an .878 save percentage for the lowly Canucks in 2025-26. • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Collects rare win

Lankinen stopped 21 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers. Lankinen's last win was Jan. 21 over the Capitals. He went 0-7-1 with 34 goals allowed over 10 appearances between victories. The 30-year-old hasn't gotten much help from his teammates most of the time, which explains most of his struggles this season. He's up to 8-21-5 with a 3.60 GAA and an .878 save percentage over 37 appearances. The Canucks have a tougher matchup ahead when they host the Lightning on Thursday.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Beaten once by Ottawa

Lankinen stopped 22 of 23 shots in Monday's 2-0 loss to the Senators. The other goal was an empty-netter. Lankinen did everything in his power to prevent another Canucks loss, but the offense didn't provide him with enough support. Lankinen has gone winless in his last 10 appearances for Vancouver, going 0-7-1 with a 4.52 GAA and an .839 save percentage. As a netminder behind one of the worst defenses in the league, his fantasy appeal is close to non-existent.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Back in net Saturday

Lankinen was the first goalie off the ice during the pregame skate, indicating he'll draw the start in Saturday's road clash against the Kraken, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic. Lankinen will return to the Canucks' crease for the first time since the Olympic break. Despite not hitting the ice for Team Finland while serving as the backup to Juuse Saros, he'll have the opportunity to provide a much-needed spark for Vancouver. Across 30 appearances this season, the 30-year-old netminder has a 7-19-4 record, a 3.67 GAA and an .876 save percentage. He'll face off against the Kraken, who have scored just two goals across their first two games since the Olympic break. The matchup provides Lankinen a solid chance to put the Canucks back in the win column, giving him decent fantasy value as a spot start.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Won't play Wednesday

Lankinen is not expected to suit up against the Jets on Wednesday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports. Lankinen is still making his way back from Milan after taking part in the Winter Olympics with Finland. The Canucks recalled Nikita Tolopilo from AHL Abbotsford on Monday, though whether Tolopilo or Jiri Patera gets the nod versus Winnipeg remains to be seen. Even with the travel delays, Lankinen should be back in time to get the nod on the road versus Seattle on Saturday.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Poor showing in loss

Lankinen allowed five goals on 31 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights. Lankinen has lost his last five results, allowing a total of 22 goals on 107 shots over six games in that span. The 30-year-old has still been playing regularly, and he'll get to stay in a rhythm while representing Finland at the Olympics. In the NHL this season, he has gone 7-19-4 with a 3.67 GAA and an .876 save percentage over 32 outings. With those numbers, most fantasy managers would be best served keeping Lankinen off their rosters.
