Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Game-time call Thursday
Marchenko's (knee) status for Thursday's matchup versus Detroit will be determined closer to puck drop, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Marchenko looks poised to return following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his knee injury, though he hasn't officially been given the all-clear. Prior to his absence, the winger was struggling to find the back of the net, going goalless in his last eight outings -- though he did chip in six helpers over that stretch, including three with the man advantage.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Dealing with injury
Monahan (undisclosed) left Monday's 5-3 win over New Jersey in the third period and didn't return, according to Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers on Tuesday.
Monahan has played through injury for most of the season, but he hasn't missed a game yet. However, it's unclear if he will be in the lineup against Detroit on Thursday. Columbus recalled Luca Del Bel Belluz from AHL Cleveland on an emergency basis Tuesday, and put Mathieu Olivier (upper body) on injured reserve.

Blue Jackets' Luca Del Bel Belluz: Recalled from AHL
Del Bel Belluz was summoned on an emergency basis from AHL Cleveland on Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, Columbus placed Mathieu Olivier (upper body) on injured reserve. Del Bel Belluz has one assist, six shots on goal and five blocked shots in seven NHL appearances this season. He will provide the Blue Jackets with some forward depth, but it's unclear if he will play against Detroit on Thursday.

Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Moves to IR
Olivier (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Columbus recalled Luca Del Bel Belluz from AHL Cleveland on an emergency basis in a corresponding move. Olivier has already missed the last three games, and there is no timeline for his return to the lineup. He has accumulated three goals, nine points, 29 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 71 hits and 44 PIM across 23 appearances this season.

Blue Jackets' Isac Lundestrom: Adds helper in win
Lundestrom posted an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
Lundestrom looked to be at risk of heading to the press box regularly in early November after one scratch, but the Blue Jackets have had enough injuries lately to keep him active. He saw a season-high 16:28 of ice time Monday and snapped a 15-game point drought with the helper. On the year, the 26-year-old defensive forward has three assists, 18 shots on net, 13 blocked shots, 10 hits and a minus-1 rating through 25 appearances. Fantasy managers can do better than that when looking on the waiver wire.

Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Earns first power-play point
Mateychuk scored a power-play goal and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
Mateychuk has two goals and an assist over his last five games. This goal was his first career power-play point, though he hasn't seen consistent usage with the man advantage this season since Zach Werenski sees a lot of time in that role. Mateychuk is up to six goals, 10 points, 26 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 25 appearances. He's worth consideration in deeper fantasy formats based on what he's already done, and his offense could grow into something with more widespread appeal.

Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Two helpers in Monday's win
Werenski notched two assists in Monday's 5-3 win over New Jersey.
The All-Star blueliner has carried his late November surge into December. Werenski has gotten onto the scoresheet in nine of the last 10 games, producing five multi-point performances en route to five goals and 15 points. After erupting for a career-high 82 points (23 goals, 59 helpers) over 81 games in 2024-25, he's back on a point-a-game pace to begin 2025-26 with nine goals and 26 points in 26 contests.

Blue Jackets' Miles Wood: Two points against former club
Wood scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
Facing the team he made his NHL debut with back in 2015-16, Wood produced both his points in the third period as the Blue Jackets broke open a 2-2 tie. The veteran checking winger has been able to stay a bit healthier in 2025-26, suiting up for 20 of Columbus' first 26 games and delivering seven goals and 10 points with 36 shots on net, 22 hits, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Two goals including winner Monday
Monahan scored two goals, one the game-winner, in Monday's 5-3 victory over the Devils.
The veteran center tied the score at 2-2 early in the second period before giving the Blue Jackets a 4-2 lead midway through the third. It was Monahan's first multi-point performance of the campaign as he tries to shake out of an early-season fog, and three of his five goals have come in the last two contests.

Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Three-point effort in win
Coyle produced a goal and two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
The veteran center's tally early in the third period put the Blue Jackets in the lead for good after they'd fallen into an early 2-0 hole. Coyle was acquired from the Avs this offseason to fill a checking role, but he's been a surprising offensive contributor as well, and over the last 10 games, he's delivered two goals and nine points thanks to a pair of three-point performances.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Back in win column Monday
Merzlikins made 30 saves in Monday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
The 31-year-old netminder went the entire month of November without collecting a win, going 0-4-0 in four starts with a rough 4.30 GAA and an .863 save percentage, and Merzlikins appeared to be headed for another poor outing when New Jersey struck twice in the first 3:03 of the first period. He kept his focus, however, and Merzlikins locked things down as Columbus rallied, allowing only a power-play tally to Timo Meier midway through the third for the remainder of the game. On the season, Merzlikins is 5-5-0 in 10 starts with a 3.50 GAA and an .895 save percentage as the No. 2 option for the Jackets behind Jet Greaves.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Tending twine Monday
Merzlikins will serve as the starting netminder for Monday's road game against New Jersey, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Merzlikins has seen limited playing time for the Blue Jackets recently, as Monday's start will be his third in the team's last 12 games. He hasn't been particularly effective in limited action, going 0-4-0 with a 4.30 GAA and .863 save percentage over his last four starts. The Devils are tied for 11th in the NHL with 3.12 goals per game this year.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Closer to return
Jenner (upper body) practiced Sunday and is "close" to a return, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports Sunday.
The team wants Jenner to get a few more skates in before inserting him back into the lineup. The 32-year-old has missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury. He was off to a good start before departing the lineup, registering three goals and seven assists in 16 games.

Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: No timeline for return
Olivier (upper body) doesn't have a timeline for his return to the lineup, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic on Saturday.
Portzline believes Olivier is probably week-to-week, but Columbus hasn't announced that yet. The 28-year-old Olivier has missed the last two games and hasn't been skating. He has registered three goals, nine points, 29 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 71 hits and 44 PIM across 23 appearances this season.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Not expected back Monday
Marchenko (upper body) has been skating on his own, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports Saturday.
Marchenko is expected to be on the ice for another solo skate Sunday, but it's unclear when he will resume practices. Although the 25-year-old is slated to miss his fourth straight game against New Jersey on Monday, he might be on track to return for Thursday's clash against Detroit. Marchenko has eight goals and 22 points in 22 appearances this season. Luca Pinelli might lose his spot on the top six once Marchenko is healthy.

Blue Jackets' Brendan Smith: Secures first helper for new team
Smith logged an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
This was Smith's second game of the season at the NHL level. He signed with the Blue Jackets on Monday after turning a professional tryout offer during training camp into an AHL-only deal initially. The defenseman will compete with Jake Christiansen for the last spot on the blue line for the foreseeable future. Smith has a helper, four shots on net, two hits, a blocked shot and a plus-1 rating so far.

Blue Jackets' Brendan Gaunce: Tallies shorthanded goal
Gaunce scored a shorthanded goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Gaunce has two points, four shots on net, six hits, four blocked shots and four PIM over four games since replacing Luca Del Bel Belluz on the Blue Jackets' roster. The 31-year-old Gaunce provides defensive effort and experience, which is valuable for a young team to have around. However, he probably won't remain with the big club once some injured forwards are able to return.
