Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Won't return to Sunday's game
Olivier won't return to Sunday's game against the Bruins due to an upper-body injury.
Olivier went to the locker room in the second period of Sunday's matchup and was ruled out by the team shortly after the start of the third frame. Prior to his departure, he recorded two hits and five PIM in 3:06 of ice time. It's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time, but his next opportunity to suit up will be Tuesday against the Hurricanes.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Deemed week-to-week
Voronkov (hand) is week-to-week, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports Sunday.
Voronkov sustained the injury in Saturday's 3-2 loss to San Jose, and it's unclear if he will return before the end of the 2025-26 regular season. He has generated 17 goals, 32 points, 110 shots on net, 105 hits and 59 PIM across 63 appearances this season.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Starting Sunday
Greaves will get the start in goal Sunday against the Bruins, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Greaves has lost two of his last three starts despite allowing just five goals combined over that stretch. The 24-year-old is 24-18-8 on the season with a 2.55 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Greaves didn't play in either of the prior two meetings with the Bruins this season, but he will start Sunday's contest against a hot Boston team that has won four of its last five games,

Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Puts away goal Saturday
Sillinger scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks.
Sillinger had six points over three games from March 17-21, but he cooled off again before his goal Saturday. The 22-year-old forward continues to fill a third-line role at even strength, making him more of a complementary piece for the Blue Jackets. He's matched his career high of 33 points from last year and stands at eight goals, 25 assists, 123 shots on net, 99 hits, 41 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 72 appearances this season.

Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Opens scoring early in loss
Mateychuk scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks.
Mateychuk tallied just 31 seconds into the contest, snapping a five-game drought. The 21-year-old defenseman has shown his skills, especially as a finisher with 12 goals and 29 points over 66 appearances. He's shooting 16.0 percent, which makes him a risky bet to replicate his efficiency in future seasons. Mateychuk has added 75 shots on net, 81 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating while mainly playing in the top four.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Fades late in loss
Merzlikins made 33 saves in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks.
Columbus took a 2-1 lead into the third period, but Merzlikins gave up a power-play tally to Macklin Celebrini less than a minute into the final frame before Igor Chernyshov slapped home a one-timer with 85 seconds left for the winner. Merzlikins has had an up-and-down March, going 3-1-2 over seven outings with a 2.90 GAA and .882 save percentage as he falls firmly behind Jet Greaves on the Blue Jackets' depth chart.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Won't play Sunday
Voronkov (upper body) will be out of the lineup Sunday versus the Bruins, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Voronkov will undergo an evaluation of his injury Monday. The 25-year-old forward was already in a part-time role prior to this injury, so he may have a tough time drawing back into the lineup even if this is a short-term issue.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Suffers upper-body injury
Voronkov won't return to Saturday's game against San Jose because of an upper-body injury, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
\Voronkov logged 4:03 of ice time before exiting the game. He has 17 goals and 32 points in 63 outings in 2025-26, including Saturday's action. Voronkov was a healthy scratch in nine of 10 games going into Saturday's action, so there's no guarantee he'll be in the lineup against Boston on Sunday even if he's healthy.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Set to face San Jose
Merzlikins is set to start at home against San Jose on Saturday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.
Merzlikins stopped 15 of 17 shots in a 5-2 win over Seattle in his most recent start last Saturday. He has a 14-9-3 record, 3.35 GAA and .885 save percentage in 28 outings in 2025-26. San Jose has lost its past six games (0-5-1) to drop to 32-31-7 on the season. The Sharks have also managed just five goals over their past four games.

Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Is week-to-week
Head coach Rick Bowness said Friday that Severson (upper body) is week-to-week, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Severson sustained the injury during Thursday's game against Montreal. He has eight goals, 32 points, 45 PIM, 39 hits and 86 blocks in 71 appearances in 2025-26. His absence is expected to result in Jake Christiansen or Egor Zamula drawing into the lineup. Additionally, Denton Mateychuk might get a role on the second power-play unit while Severson is out.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Spectacular play in 2026
Greaves made 18 saves in a 2-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday.
Greaves has lost two of his last three games, but he has allowed just five goals total in that span. He has been flat-out brilliant this season and especially in 2026. Greaves' last two regulation losses came Jan. 6 and 8; he is 12-2-2 in 16 games since then. He allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of those games. The Blue Jackets are Greaves' team.

Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Dealing with upper-body injury
Severson left Thursday's contest versus the Canadiens due to an upper-body injury, and there was no update on his status after the game, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Severson had the Blue Jackets' lone goal in a 2-1 loss Thursday, but he was hurt in the third period after a hit from Zachary Bolduc. The 31-year-old Severson can be considered day-to-day until his status is updated. If he misses time, Egor Zamula or Jake Christiansen will replace him in the lineup, while Denton Mateychuk or Dante Fabbro will get more ice time. Severson has 32 points in 71 outings this season and will be tough to replace if he's out for any length of time.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Tending twine Thursday
Greaves will be between the road pipes in Montreal on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Greaves is 4-1-0 in his last five starts, giving up eight goals on 121 shots (.934 save percentage). The netminder is 24-13-8 with a 2.57 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 46 games this season. He will face the Canadiens, who are third in NHL scoring, producing 3.53 goals per game,

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Struggling for playing time
Voronkov was scratched for the ninth time in 10 games in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Flyers.
The arrival of interim head coach Rick Bowness has helped the Blue Jackets as a whole, but it has also cost Voronkov a spot in the lineup most of the time. The 25-year-old winger is in an eight-game point drought as well, so the scratches are warranted. Unless injuries strike, it's tough to see Voronkov getting an opportunity while the team is winning. He has 32 points, 110 shots on net, 103 hits, 59 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 62 appearances.
