  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Drawing start against St. Louis

Markstrom will start Wednesday's home game against the Blues, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Markstrom has split time in the crease recently, but he'll draw a second consecutive start Wednesday. Across six outings in November, he's gone 4-1-1 with a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage. The Blues are scoring just 2.65 goals per game this season, which is tied for the fifth-worst mark in the league.

  • Devils' Evgenii Dadonov: Set for lengthy absence

Dadonov (undisclosed) is expected to miss an extended period of time but is undergoing additional evaluation, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports Wednesday.

Dadonov just returned recently from a 17-game absence due to a hand injury. The veteran winger is pointless in only five outings this year. He had 20 goals and 40 points in 80 regular-season appearances last campaign. However, his lack of offense and injury concerns have hindered his fantasy appeal this time around.

  • Devils' Evgenii Dadonov: Doubtful for Wednesday

Dadonov (undisclosed) likely won't be an option for Wednesday's game against St. Louis, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Dadonov is undergoing an evaluation after suffering an injury in Monday's 4-3 win over Detroit. He hasn't earned a point in five appearances this season while posting seven shots on goal, four blocked shots and two hits. Based on Tuesday's practice, Juho Lammikko will replace Dadonov in Wednesday's lineup against the Blues.

  • Devils' Connor Brown: One of each Monday

Brown scored a goal, dished out an assist and fired two shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.

Brown got involved with a secondary helper in the first period before netting the go-ahead goal midway through the second. With the pair of points, the 31-year-old winger is up to six goals, two assists and 22 shots on net through 15 games this season. The points were his first since his seven-game stretch on the shelf from Nov. 1-15 due to an upper-body injury. When healthy, Brown has been involved a fair amount in New Jersey's offensive plans from the third line. He could become relevant in deep leagues if he starts to trend closer towards the 30-point mark that he reached with Edmonton during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Devils' Cody Glass: Lights the lamp in return

Glass scored a goal and blocked a shot in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.

Glass found the back of the net with less than one minute to go in the first, capping off a three-goal effort from New Jersey in the opening period. Overall, the 26-year-old center has four goals and 20 shots on net through 11 games this season. Monday's game was his first since sustaining an upper-body injury, and he didn't miss a beat in getting involved offensively. The stint on IR was Glass' second of the season, which makes him a risky long-term stash in fantasy. When he is healthy, however, he offers decent goal-scoring numbers and could provide fantasy value in deep leagues if he begins to find his footing as a playmaker this season.

  • Devils' Timo Meier: Multi-point effort Monday

Meier netted a goal, had an assist, recorded four shots, blocked two attempts and dished out four hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.

Meier's strong all-around effort Monday was highlighted by scoring the opening goal before assisting Nico Hischier's tally just minutes later. After Monday's contest, Meier is up to seven goals, 10 assists, 69 shots on net and 39 hits through 22 games this season. He continues to launch shots at a high rate with three or more attempts on target in eight of his last 10 games. The top-line left winger for New Jersey has begun to hit his stride, with Monday's performance marking his fourth multi-point game of the season. Meier now has goals in back-to-back games, so look for the 29-year-old winger to push toward the 30-goal threshold that he just missed in the past two regular seasons.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Stuffs stat sheet Monday

Hischier scored a goal, provided an assist, recorded a shot on goal, blocked three attempts and dished out three hits in Monday's 4-3 win over Detroit.

Hischier once again served as the workhorse forward for New Jersey, as he made a large impact at both ends of the ice in his 21:15 of playing time. On offense, he picked up the secondary helper on Timo Meier's goal before he scored one himself with two minutes to go in the opening period. With Hischier's active performance Monday, he's up to seven goals, 11 assists, 49 shots on net and 26 blocks through 22 games this season. The No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft has five points in his last two games and has stepped up in a big way with Jack Hughes (finger) sidelined. Hischier should continue to play a large chunk of minutes each game moving forward, and his category coverage makes him a high-level play in most fantasy formats.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Bounces back with win

Markstrom saved 32 of 35 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.

After he conceded five goals in his most recent outing, Markstrom bounced back Monday with a strong win. He made multiple highlight-reel saves down the stretch, including when he stacked the pads and threw his right leg in the air to make a crucial save. With the win, the 35-year-old netminder is up to a 6-3-1 record with a 3.74 GAA and an .871 save percentage through 10 appearances this season. Monday's outing was a step in the right direction for Markstrom, who now has four wins in his last six games. While he's back on track to reach the 20-win mark for the ninth consecutive season, the 2025-26 campaign could be a year of regression if he can't start keeping the puck out of his own net more than three times per game -- he's now allowed at least three goals in eight of his 10 appearances this year. His next chance to guard the crease is Wednesday against St. Louis.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Drawing home start

Markstrom will start at home against the Red Wings on Monday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Markstrom should be fresh heading into Monday's game, as he hasn't played since allowing five goals on 29 shots in Tuesday's loss to Tampa Bay. The 35-year-old has a 5-3-1 record, 3.83 GAA and .864 save percentage over nine appearances this season. The Red Wings have scored 14 goals across their last five matchups, a span in which they are 3-1-1.

  • Devils' Shane Lachance: Sent down Monday

Lachance was assigned to AHL Utica on Monday.

Lachance spent a week and a half with the Devils and made his NHL debut against the Capitals on Nov. 15, recording no points and a hit in 7:25 of ice time. He'll head back to the minors after Cody Glass (upper body) was activated off injured reserve Monday.

  • Devils' Cody Glass: Returning against Detroit

Glass (upper body) will be in the lineup versus Detroit on Monday.

Glass returns following a four-game stint on injured reserve due to his upper-body issue. This follows a previous seven-game absence due to an upper-body problem, though it's unclear if the issues are related. With the veteran center back, he'll slot into a third-line role while Juho Lammikko finds himself relegated to the press box.

  • Devils' Timo Meier: Nets power-play goal Saturday

Meier scored a power-play goal, fired three shots on net and dished out three hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Philadelphia.

Outside of his power-play goal to open the scoring, Meier fired the puck all night with three shots on target and four more that missed the mark. The 29-year-old winger has six goals, 15 points, 65 shots on target and 35 hits in 21 games this season. Meier snapped a three-game point drought Saturday. He's virtually a lock to receive top-six minutes for the rest of the season and should lead the team in shot attempts. It's best to exercise patience with Meier, as his 9.2 shooting percentage is likely to climb considering his career conversion rate is 10.8 percent.

  • Devils' Jesper Bratt: Three assists Saturday

Bratt tallied three assists and put six shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.

Bratt had a hand in all three goals scored by New Jersey on Saturday, as he tallied the primary helper on Timo Meier's goal before picking up secondary assists on both of Nico Hischier's goals. With the three helpers, Bratt is up to 16 assists, 21 points and 50 shots on target in 21 games this season. The 27-year-old winger has shown steady improvement in each of the past few seasons and is on pace to finish near the 88-point total he posted in 81 regular-season games a year ago. With Jack Hughes (finger) potentially out until January, Bratt has a clear path to lead the team in points, as the latter remains one of the league's elite playmakers.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Records three points in loss

Hischier scored two goals, dished out a power-play assist, fired five shots on target and served two PIM in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Philadelphia.

Hischier once again carried a heavy workload and did his best to keep New Jersey in the game with two straight goals across the end of the second period into the middle of the third. He also picked up a power-play assist on Timo Meier's power-play tally early in the first period. With the trio of points, Hischier is up to six goals, 10 assists, 48 shots on net and 23 blocks through 21 games this season. After a rocky start to the season offensively, Hischier has found his stride and has been a leader up the center of the ice for New Jersey. With Jack Hughes (finger) potentially sidelined into January, Hischier will likely continue to lead New Jersey's forwards in ice time, making him a reliable option in most fantasy formats.

  • Devils' Jake Allen: Early struggles in loss

Allen stopped 23 of 29 shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.

Allen had a rough go of things in the first period as he allowed four total goals, three of which were just 26 seconds apart. With the loss, the 35-year-old netminder drops to a 7-4-0 record, a 2.56 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 12 appearances this season. Saturday's outing marked his highest number of goals against this season, and he's lost four of his last six starts after a 5-0-0 start to the season. Since the return of Jacob Markstrom from a lower-body injury, Allen has maintained a solid chunk of the opportunities in net, but Allen's playing time could decline if his recent struggles continue.

  • Devils' Lenni Hameenaho: Two-point effort for Utica

Hameenaho scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Utica's 4-3 loss to Rochester on Saturday.

Hameenaho started his AHL career with nine scoreless outings, but he's come alive with three goals and a helper over his last five games. The 21-year-old is likely just going through an adjustment period in his AHL rookie season. He's a second-round pick of the Devils from 2023, so it'll likely be a year or two more before he's really pushing for an NHL job.
