CHENEY, Wash. (AP) Jake Pemberton and Daniel Amigo each scored 17 points and Denver held Sacramento State scoreless over the final three minutes for a 72-61 win on Sunday in the second game of the Eastern Washington University Classic.

Denver led by six at intermission, but Sacramento State battled back to tie it at 37-all on a jumper by Marcus Graves. The Hornets held a 55-54 lead with 6:09 left and tied it at 61-61 with 3:05 left.

But Sacramento State did not score again and the Pioneers closed it on an 11-0 run.

Amigo led Denver with 10 rebounds and the Pioneers (2-3) held a 40-32 advantage on the boards. Denver shot 26 of 66 (39.4 percent) from the field, including 7 of 20 from beyond the arc (35 percent).

Graves finished with 16 points for the Hornets (1-5), who shot 22 of 49 from the field (44.9 percent).
