BALTIMORE (AP) Anthony Lindauer hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer and High Point erased a 20-point second-half deficit to beat Morgan State 62-61 on Monday night.
High Point was just 1 of 16 from distance before Lindauer's basket capped a 16-3 run in final 90 seconds.
Morgan State had a 20-point lead midway through the second half and a 13-point advantage with 2:02 left, but High Point cut it to single digits, 59-50, with 1:17 remaining. Morgan State guard Tiwian Kendley was called for a charge with 45.5 seconds left and Ricky Madison split a pair from the line to pull High Point to 60-55.
Kyle Thomas was tied up on the ensuing inbound play and High Point (4-3) took possession with 29.1 seconds left. Andre Fox was fouled on a jumper and hit both free throws to make it 60-57. Morgan State broke the press but David Syfax missed the layup and Miles Bowman Jr. converted at the other end with 6.9 seconds left to make it 60-59.
Stanley Davis was fouled with 4.7 seconds left and hit 1 of 2 free throws to extend the lead for Morgan State (2-5) to 61-59.
