HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) Daniel Harris scored 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting and Mikey Dixon had 17 points and seven assists as Quinnipiac thumped Hartford 99-79 on Wednesday.

Donovan Smith added 15 points and 10 rebounds while Phil Winston passed out 10 assists for Quinnipiac (3-5).

Chase Daniels' 3-point play put the Bobcats on top 17-7 and they led by double digits the rest of the way. Peter Kiss later hit a jumper and 3 and Quinnipiac led 24-9 at the 12:57 mark of the first half. Quinnipiac led 52-41 at halftime.

Hassian Attia's layup was the first basket of the game and Hartford's only lead of the night.

Jalen Ross led Hartford (2-8) with 21 points shooting 13 for 15 from the free throw line but was just 3 for 13 from the floor. Jason Dunne scored 17 points and John Carroll added 14 points and four rebounds.

Quinnipiac leads the overall series between the two teams 19-6.
