BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Marcus Keene scored a career-high 44 points, including 4 of 6 free throws in the final 37 seconds and Central Michigan won a wild 106-103 victory at Montana State, which saw a potential tying 3-pointer clang off the front rim at the buzzer.
Tyler Hall led the Bobcats with a career-best 29 points, including five 3-pointers, but after he grabbed Keene's missed free throw with three seconds left, his final 3-point try was just short. Hall scored eight points as Montana State rallied from 10 points down with 58 seconds to go and came as close as 105-103 on his 3-pointer with eight seconds left.
Keene is the nation's top scorer, averaging 30.8 points per game, and combined with his backcourt mate Braylon Rayson for 60 points Wednesday. The duo is averaging a national best 48.4 points per game.
Cecil Williams also scored 16 for the Chippewas (9-3), who shot 50 percent from the field.
Benson Osayande scored a career-best 21 on 8-for-9 shooting for Montana State (5-8).
