Podziemski sat out of Wednesday's exhibition contest against the Trail Blazers, but the fourth-year pro will be on the court for Saturday's game. He's fresh off signing a five-year, $110 million contract extension that is fully guaranteed.

Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Gets five-year extension with Golden State
Podziemski (rest) and the Warriors agreed to a five-year, $110 million contract extension Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The deal is a fully guaranteed, rookie-scale contract extension that includes a mutual option for the 2031-32 season. Podziemski is coming off a 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged career highs in points (13.8) and three-pointers (1.9) while starting in 43 of 82 regular-season games. Podziemski figures to start alongside Stephen Curry (rest) in the backcourt to open the 2026-27 season, though that could change once Jimmy Butler (knee) is cleared to return, which likely won't be until after the calendar flips to 2027.

Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Not playing Wednesday
Podziemski (rest) won't travel with the Warriors for Wednesday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Podziemski is coming off a strong showing in Tuesday's 124-98 preseason win over the Lakers, finishing with 16 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 19 minutes. Golden State is resting several rotation players on the second half of a preseason back-to-back, and Podziemski should have another opportunity to suit up Saturday against Sacramento.

Warriors' De'Anthony Melton: Nears double-double off bench
Melton tallied 16 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during the Warriors' 111-96 loss to the Suns in Friday's Western Conference Play-In Tournament game.
Melton ended the 2025-26 season with a productive showing off the bench, finishing second on the Warriors in both points and rebounds behind Brandin Podziemski. Melton spent most of the season on the bench but was a regular member of the Warriors' starting five across 23 games from Feb. 5 to April 9. Over that span, he averaged 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 threes, and 1.7 steals over 24.7 minutes per game. Melton has a $3.45 million player option for the 2026-27 season.
