Wizards' Tre Johnson: Limited again Friday
Johnson logged 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal over 18 minutes during Friday's 131-118 win over the Pacers.
Johnson continues to play limited minutes, despite maintaining a starting role. Since returning from an ankle injury that cost him six games, Johnson has averaged 11.3 points and 1.0 steals in 18.6 minutes per game across three appearances. Given the uncertainty regarding Washington's rotation, it's hard to trust anyone on the roster right now, and that includes Johnson.

Wizards' Tre Johnson: Puts up 10 points in return
Johnson (ankle) amassed 10 points (4-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 18 minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
Back in action following a six-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, Johnson stepped back into the starting five, sharing the backcourt with Bub Carrington. Before he had sustained the injury, Johnson had been starting ahead of Carrington at point guard, but the Wizards may be able to make room for both players on the top unit until Trae Young (knee) is ready to make his team debut. Regardless of how he's deployed coming out of the All-Star break, Johnson will likely see his minutes climb back into the 20s during the Wizards' next game Feb. 19 versus the Pacers.

Johnson has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Bucks due to a left ankle sprain, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports.
Johnson appeared to roll his left ankle after landing on Ryan Rollins' foot on a jump shot, with the former checking out of the game at the 8:05 mark in the second quarter. The injury is severe enough for Johnson that the rookie first-rounder will not return to Thursday's game, and he'll finish with eight points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and two assists over 11 minutes. Bub Carrington was on the floor for the Wizards to open the second half and should see a significant increase in minutes in Johnson's absence.

The rookie guard hasn't been shy about firing it up from three-point range in January. Johnson has drained at least three treys in four straight games and six of the last eight, averaging 16.1 points, 3.4 assists, 3.0 threes, 2.4 boards and 1.0 combined steals and blocks during that stretch while shooting 40.0 percent from beyond the arc.

Making his 11th straight start, Johnson once again filled up the bucket from long range -- he's scored in double digits 10 times during that stretch, and drained multiple three-pointers nine times. Johnson continues to show promise as a rookie for the Wizards. He finished with 19 points against the Suns and is currently averaging 12.5 points per game for the season, which ranks seventh best among all rookies. With Kyshawn George (hip) still sidelined, Johnson made his seventh straight start and led the Wizards in scoring. It was a strong bounce-back effort after the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft had managed only six points Tuesday against the Magic. Johnson's averaging 14.7 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 boards, 2.3 threes and 1.1 steals during his time in the starting five, but his usage figures to take a dip once Trae Young officially joins the roster.
