  • Heat's Jahmir Young: Earns standard deal

The Heat converted Young's two-way contract to a standard deal Friday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

After officially waiving Terry Rozier on Friday, the Heat will use their open roster spot to sign Young to a standard deal, making him eligible to suit up in the postseason. He shot 0-for-1 from the field and tallied one assist across one minute in Friday's 140-117 win over the Wizards, and he should continue providing emergency depth in the backcourt.

  • Heat's Jahmir Young: Inks two-way pact with Miami

Young agreed to a two-way contract with the Heat on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Young joined the Heat on an Exhibit 10 contract in August, which has now been converted to a two-way pact. The 25-year-old point guard appeared in 43 G League outings between the Grand Rapids Gold and Windy City Bulls last season, during which he averaged 21.7 points, 7.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals across 34.1 minutes per game.

  • Heat's Jahmir Young: Impresses in bench role

Young registered 18 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and three steals in 32 minutes during Sunday's 120-104 preseason loss to Orlando.

Young looked sharp on the offensive end and finished second on his squad in scoring on a night where a handful of key starters received a night off to rest. The Maryland product inked a contract with the Heat in August and is fighting to take hold of one of the team's two-way slots, and Sunday's showing will most certainly help his case.

  • Heat's Jahmir Young: Agrees to deal with Miami

The Heat and Young agreed to a deal Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

After appearing in five games during the Las Vegas Summer League, Young was waived by the Bulls but has been able to find an opportunity elsewhere. The 24-year-old guard will compete for a two-way spot with the Heat ahead of training camp, so it's possible most of his playing time will come in the G League in 2025-26. Over 43 G League appearances last year, Young averaged 21.7 points, 7.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in 34.1 minutes per game.

As a result of the team signing Yuki Kawamura to a two-way contract, Young has been waived to make room on the roster. Young played in five games during the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 13.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 52.3 percent from the floor and 53.3 percent from three-point range.

  • Bulls' Jahmir Young: Offensive explosion in SL win

Young totaled 37 points (12-17 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three assists, two steals and one rebound across 33 minutes in Wednesday's 102-96 Summer League win over the Bucks.

Young dominated Wednesday's game, powering his team to a win with a game-high 37 points, including six made three-pointers. He saw limited NBA action during the 2024-25 season, appearing in just six regular-season games for the Bulls and averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 assists in 5.0 minutes per contest.
