SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Emmanuel Michel ran for a career-high 148 yards and three touchdowns, John Lee Eldridge III ran for 102 and two scores and Air Force raced to a 45-20 win over San Jose State on Friday night, the Falcons' ninth-straight victory.

Air Force (4-0, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) took control in the third quarter, opening with a 15-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Eldridge's five-yard run. After the Spartans ran three plays in 50 seconds, the Falcons started a 13-play, 71-yard drive, capped by Michel's one-yard run at 12:50 of the fourth quarter.

Both running backs went over 1,000 yards for their career.

Air Force scored on five-straight drives and had five drives of at least 10 plays. The Falcons finished with 430 total yards, 402 on the ground and had a18-minute advantage in time of possession. San Jose State had not allowed that many rushing yards in 19 seasons.

The Falcons wrapped it up when Eldridge went around right end, broke a tackle, hurdled a tackler, ran through a tackler and carried a tackler into the end zone for a 34-yard touchdown. That came on the fourth snap after San Jose State was stopped on 4th-and-1 at its 40 and made it 38-20.

Chevan Cordeiro was 24 of 35 for 239 yards for San Jose State (1-4, 0-1), passing Andy Dalton for fifth in MWC career passing yards (10,440)

Kairee Robinson ran for two touchdowns for the Spartans and Michel had a pair for the Falcons in the first half. The difference was Cordeiro, who completed all 11 of his passes and scored the opening touchdown on a 10-yard ran.

Both teams had at least 200 yards but San Jose State led 20-17. The Spartans finished with 354 total yards.
