Watch list has arrived in college football. The annual individual awards given at the end of the season will be rolling out their initial lists over the next couple weeks, and college football fans get their first round of debatable distinctions for 2012.
The Butkus Award prepares for its 28th season honoring college football's best linebackers with the release of the 2012 watch list. Each watch list contains 51 players, honoring the professional number of Dick Butkus.
Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o is the only returning finalist from 2011 and Georgia's Jarvis Jones returns after finishing as a seminfinalst. Florida and Stanford lead all 38 schools with three players each on the watch list.
