Army football is surging in a big way with Jeff Monken. Year three for Monken in 2016 was the breakthrough, an 8-5 season capped with a statement win against Navy and a bowl victory against North Texas. The Black Knights have extended that winning streak into the 2017 season, icing Saturday's 21-17 win against Buffalo with an awesome fake punt.
Army entered the fourth quarter trailing 17-7, but Darnell Woolfolk barreled into the end zone on the first play of the first quarter and then again on a crucial 4th and Goal with five minutes left for the go-ahead score.

For Army, the current five-game winning streak is the program's first since 1988. Going 2-0 to start the season is a big win for Monken and the 2017 Black Knights, looking to make back-to-back bowl games for the first time since 1985. Up next is one of the toughest games on the schedule, against Ohio State in Columbus next Saturday.
