Webb suffered an injury with the Steelers in the preseason and was let go in mid-August, but he recovered and joined the practice squad in mid-November. The 2018 undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt has yet to make his NFL debut, but he's spent most of his first two post-collegiate seasons on Pittsburgh's practice squad.

Webb appears to have fully recovered from the undisclosed injury he dealt with during the offseason. The second-year pro previously spent time on Pittsburgh's practice squad in 2018. He'll look to make the most of his second opportunity with the team.

Steelers' Ralph Webb: Staying in Pittsburgh
Webb signed a future/reserve contract with the Steelers on Monday according to the NFL's transaction report.

Ralph Webb: Added to Steelers' practice squad
Webb was signed to Pittsburgh's practice squad Tuesday.
The rookie from Vanderbilt was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent, but was unable to secure a spot on the 53-man roster. Though running back James Conner (ankle) is expected to miss Week 14, Webb is likely a filler for the Steelers' practice squad.

Ralph Webb: Let go by Patriots
Webb has been waived by the Patriots.
Webb signed with New England as an undrafted free agent this spring, but he evidently didn't distinguish himself enough throughout the summer to secure a spot on the final 53-man roster.

Patriots' Ralph Webb: Logs five carries Thursday
Webb carried five times for 15 yards in Thursday's 37-20 preseason win over the Eagles.
Webb, who carried 14 times for 46 yards and two TDs in last week's preseason opener against Washington, needs a break or two in his favor in order to survive roster cutdowns. In the event that he ends up being released, Webb would be a practice squad candidate if he goes unclaimed on waivers. From a DFS perspective, Webb may not make a big splash in next Friday's "dress rehearsal" against the Panthers, but we imagine he'll probably see plenty of action in the Patriots' preseason finale Aug. 30 against the Giants.

Patriots' Ralph Webb: Could be busy Thursday
Webb could see plenty of work in Thursday's preseason opener against Washington, Jeff Howe of The Athletic Boston reports.
With Sony Michel (knee) sidelined and Rex Burkhead potentially nursing a minor unspecified injury, Webb -- who needs a strong preseason showing to make the team -- could get a long look Thursday. Meanwhile, Mike Gillislee and Jeremy Hill, who are competing for the team's "big back" job, could also be sprinkled in. In any case, while Webb seems unlikely to be a major factor in the regular season, he looks like an option for DFS players this week.
