Adams rushed 12 times for 62 yards and caught three of four targets in Friday's preseason finale against the Eagles. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
Adams' performance may not be enough to move him up from fifth on the Jets' backfield depth chart, but the team will likely try to keep him around on the practice squad considering the 24-year-old running back averaged 5.4 yards per carry on his 29 attempts last season. His two-point conversion tied the game at 31-31 with no time on the clock after James Morgan found Kenny Yeboah for a 49-yard touchdown on the game's final play.

The Jets did not tender Adams in restricted free agency, though he still lands back for a third season with the team.His role in the offense was limited in 2020, as he managed only 75 offensive snaps and 29 rushing attempts.
