Boogie Basham: Gets waived
The Giants waived Basham on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
After not playing in six of the Giants' first seven games to start the season, Basham is now off the active roster. Unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he'll become a free agent.

Giants' Boogie Basham: Headed to Big Blue
Basham has reportedly been traded from the Bills to the Giants, sources have told ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The teams are thought to have swapped late-round draft picks in a future season.
Basham was a second-round pick in 2021, but he never really progressed and the Bills are deep on the defensive line this season. While Giants coach Brian Daboll is an offensive guy, he's familiar with Basham from their time together in Buffalo and is apparently happy to see if he can get the Wake Forest product's career going at little cost to the franchise.

Bills' Boogie Basham: Ready to go Monday
Basham (calf) no longer carries an injury designation for Monday's game against the Bengals.
Basham was unable to play Week 16 against the Bears, but he'll take the field Week 17 in Cincinnati. The return of the second-year pro should be a boost to the Bills' depth on the defensive line.

Bills' Boogie Basham: Won't face Bears
Basham (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bears, asgdasg reports.
Basham is dealing with a calf injury suffered during the Week 15 win over the Dolphins. The second-year defensive end's absence is especially notable in the wake of Von Miller's season-ending ACL tear, potentially leaving Buffalo vulnerable against Chicago's dangerous rushing attack.

Bills' Carlos Basham: Dealing with injury
Bills coach Sean McDermott said that Basham has a calf injury and is considered day-to-day, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Basham logged one tackle across 19 defensive snaps during Saturday's 32-29 win over the Dolphins, though it appears he came away from this contest with a calf injury. With star edge rusher Von Miller already out for the season after suffering a torn ACL, Basham's potential absence would leave the Bills with just three available defensive ends for Saturday's game versus Chicago. Basham's practice activity Tuesday should provide some early clarity on his availability Week 16.

Bills' Carlos Basham: Waiting for NFL debut
Basham will be an inactive for the second straight week when the Bills take on the Dolphins on Sunday.
The Bills are quite deep at defensive line, so Basham may have to wait for injuries to get his turn on the field even though he's considered a promising second-round rookie. The takeaway here is that fellow rookie Greg Rousseau is the one seeing the field for Buffalo, meaning the latter (a first-rounder out of Miami), sits higher on the depth chart for now.
