  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Participating in training camp

Mack Wilson is participating in the Cardinals' training camp, Jess Root of cardswire.com reports.

Wilson seems to have recovered from his rib injury and is all set to take the field. The middle linebacker has already resumed his duties as the starter for the Cardinals' defense. The 28-year-old veteran player has been playing alongside both Cody Simon and Jack Gibbens as the two battle for reps at linebacker.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Has 60 stops in abbreviated season

Wilson (ribs) posted 60 tackles, six pass defenses including one interception, and one forced fumble over eight regular-season appearances in 2025.

Wilson played all but two defensive snaps before the Cardinals' Week 8 bye, but a rib injury then sidelined him for the rest of the campaign. That allowed rookie fourth-round pick Cody Simon to step into an every-down role alongside Akeem Davis-Gaither. All three off-ball linebackers are under contract next season, so the defensive scheme under new head coach Mike LaFleur will determine who among them takes on starting roles.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Lands on injured reserve

The Cardinals placed Wilson (ribs) on injured reserve Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Wilson was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but his placement on injured reserve means he'll be required to miss at least the next four games, making Week 15 against the Texans on Sunday, Dec. 14 the earliest he is eligible to return. Cody Simon will maintain a starting role at linebacker for as long as Wilson is sidelined.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Ruled out again

Wilson (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the 49ers, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Wilson will miss his second straight game with the injury. He failed to practice in any capacity last week, and he apparently has made little progress given that he was ruled out for Week 11 on Wednesday. Cody Simon should maintain an increased role in Wilson's absence.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Won't play Sunday

Wilson (ribs) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

The Alabama product didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday after sustaining a rib injury in the Week 9 win over the Cowboys, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Sunday. Wilson leads the Cardinals' defense in tackles through eight games this season, recording 60 stops and six passes defended, including one interception. While he's out Week 10, expect rookie Cody Simon to operate as Arizona's top middle linebacker.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Misses practice Thursday

Wilson (ribs) did not participate in practice Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.

The linebacker was also estimated to be a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough. Wilson injured his ribs in Arizona's win over Dallas on Monday night. At the moment, the middle linebacker, who played on nearly every defensive snap across the first seven games of the season, does not appear to be on track to play Sunday against the Seahawks.

  • Cardinals' Mack Wilson: Absent from walkthrough

Wilson (ribs) was estimated to be a nonparticipant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official website reports.

Wilson suffered an injury to his ribs in the team's 27-17 win over the Cowboys, and he's now opened the week on the sidelines at practice. The linebacker will have two more chances to return to practice prior to Sunday's contest in Seattle.
