Bears' Caleb Williams: May miss multiple games with Grade 2 strain
Williams, who is ruled out for Monday's game against the Eagles, has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, which doctors consider a 3-to-4-week injury, Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport of ESPN report.
Williams sustained the injury in last Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Vikings and was unable to practice in any fashion this week. Head coach Ben Johnson had previously been terming Williams as week-to-week, but Schefter and Rapoport's report offers some clarity on what potential recovery timeline the third-year quarterback might be facing. The report notes that the 3-to-4 range is merely an estimated for Grade 2 strains, so if Williams proves to be a quick healer, it's possible that he can return to action for Chicago sooner than expected. At the very least, the Bears will have to get by with either Tyson Bagent (concussion) or Case Keenum as their starting quarterback versus the Eagles.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Ruled out for Monday
Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Eagles.
As expected, Williams will not be active for Monday Night Football due to a right hamstring injury he sustained during the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Vikings. Tyson Bagent was a full participant in Saturday's practice but is listed as questionable, as he's still in the league's concussion protocol. If Bagent is unable to play, then Case Keenum would serve as the Bears' starting QB for Week 3. Williams' next opportunity to play is Week 4 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Not practicing Saturday
Williams (hamstring) will not participate in Saturday's practice, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Suns-Times reports.
Head coach Ben Johnson was mum on Williams' status for Monday's game against the Eagles, and that status will be more clear once Philadelphia announces its injury designations following Saturday's practice. However, given that Williams will end up missing all three practices due to a hamstring injury, it's more likely that the third-year quarterback will not suit up for Week 3, with an eye toward returning for Week 4 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 4. The good news for the Bears is that Tyson Bagent cleared the league's concussion protocol, and he would serve as the starter with Case Keenum as the backup if Williams is ruled out.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Another DNP on Friday
Williams (hamstring) was a non-participant at Friday's practice.
Williams has yet to mix into drills this week in the wake of the right hamstring injury that he sustained during a Week 2 loss to the Vikings. While the Bears haven't ruled out either Williams or his direct backup Tyson Bagent (concussion) just yet for Week 3 action, it appears that the team is trending toward starting 38-year-old Case Keenum on Monday versus the Eagles.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Listed as DNP on Thursday
Williams (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's estimated practice report.
Williams didn't take part in Wednesday's unofficial practice and then wouldn't have taken part one day later if the Bears had held a session. Backup QB Tyson Bagent had the same listing as Williams on Thursday, meaning Case Keenum remains the sole healthy and available signal-caller on the active roster. Williams is dealing with a hamstring injury that he sustained in the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Vikings, and it remains to be seen if he has any chance to play Monday against the Eagles.
