Draft Scouting Report
Pro Comparison: D.J. James
Summary
Brent Austin was originally recruited by Curt Cignetti to James Madison in 2022 before transferring to USF in 2024 and then Cal last fall. Over the past two seasons, he established himself as one of the better man corners in the country despite lacking prototypical size for the role. His evaluation centers on that concern. Austin weighed in at 176 pounds at the Shrine Bowl -- a borderline unplayable number by NFL standards. His play strength must improve at the next level.
