Giants' Evan Neal: Won't play against Dallas
Neal (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Neal was held out of practice all week due to a neck injury, and the fourth-year offensive lineman will end the year on injured reserve. He did not appear in a regular-season game prior to being placed on IR in mid-November, and the 2022 first-rounder will focus on being fully healthy for the start of the 2026 campaign.

Neal was a full participant upon having his 21-day practice window opened Dec. 17, but he downgraded to DNP status the following day and hasn't taken any on-field reps since. Neal had his 21-day practice window opened Tuesday and was a full participant Wednesday, but he now appears to be battling a setback. It's worth noting that prior to being placed on IR mid-November, Neal did not play a single offensive snap with for the Giants this season. With New York's O-line mostly in a healthy state, Neal likely wouldn't play Sunday against the Vikings even if he proves he's in 100 percent form.

Neal had already been ruled out for Week 11 and has yet to appear in a game this season. He'll now be forced to miss at least the next four contests. Interim head coach Mike Kafka said Neal injured his hamstring in a workout, per Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record.

It's unclear when Neal sustained the hamstring injury, given that he hasn't appeared in a regular-season game in 2025. The injury prevented him from practicing during Week 11 prep, and his next opportunity to be available is Week 12 against Detroit on Sunday, Nov. 23. Aaron Stinnie will serve as the Giants' top reserve offensive guard in Neal's absence.
