Saints' Bryan Bresee: Game-winning block in Week 14
Breese logged 1.0 sacks and two pass defenses during Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants.
Bresee made the biggest play of the game Sunday when he jumped over the Giants' offensive line and blocked Graham Gano's 35-yard field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Saints. Bresee has logged 7.5 sacks through 13 regular-season games, 3.5 of which have come over his last three outings.

Bresee recorded 1.0 sacks during Sunday's 21-14 loss versus the Rams.
Bresee was able to put a notch in the sack column for the second game in a row in Week 13, getting to Matthew Stafford on a third down to force a Rams punt late in the third quarter. He enters Week 14 with the second most sacks in the league by a defensive tackle (6.5) behind only two-time Pro-Bowler Dexter Lawrence (9.0).

Bresee was a DNP for Friday's practice due to an illness, but he will suit up Sunday. The 2023 first-round pick played 34 snaps (32 on defense, two on special teams) and did not record a tackle in the Saints' Week 1 victory over the Panthers.

Bresee popped up on the Saints' injury report with an illness, and he is in jeopardy of missing Sunday's contest. Khalen Saunders (calf) has already been ruled out for Week 2, and if Bresee were unable to suit up, then John Ridgeway would be in line to start at defensive tackle alongside Nathan Shepherd.

Bresee was absent from Saturday's practice due to a foot injury, John DeShazier of the Saints' official site reports.
There is no word on the severity of Bresee's foot injury at this point. He is coming off a productive rookie campaign that saw him accumulate 24 tackles, 4.5 sacks and six passes defended across 17 games. When healthy, the defensive tackle projects to boost depth on the Saints' interior defensive line this year.
