Hyppolite (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
Hyppolite has been dealing with a shoulder issue of late and missed Chicago's past two games, but he didn't have an injury designation heading into this weekend. As such, his inactive status Sunday appears to be a healthy scratch. The rookie hasn't made much of an impact this season and may be getting squeezed out of the Bears' defensive rotation.

Bears' Ruben Hyppolite: Past shoulder injury
Hyppolite (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hyppolite missed Chicago's last two games due to a shoulder injury, but his ability to practice Wednesday without restriction indicates that he'll be available to play against Cleveland on Sunday. Hyppolite's return would mean less defensive snaps available for D'Marco Jackson and Amen Ogbongbemiga.

Hyppolite (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers.
The Maryland product is now in line to miss his second consecutive game due to a shoulder injury. Hyppolite has appeared in seven games this season, recording six total tackles across 113 total snaps (83 on special teams, 30 on defense). Carl Jones could have an expanded role on the Bears' defense while Hyppolite is sidelined Sunday.

The linebacker suffered the shoulder injury in the Bears' Week 12 win over the Steelers and missed practice Wednesday. Chicago is already banged up in its linebacker corps, with Tremaine Edmunds (groin) on injured reserve and T.J. Edwards (hand) and Noah Sewell (elbow) already ruled out for Friday as well. Carl Jones, D'Marco Jackson, Daniel Hardy and Amen Ogbongbemiga are Chicago's backup linebackers.

The rookie linebacker from Maryland sustained a shoulder injury in the Bears' Week 12 win over the Steelers, and Wednesday's DNP suggests he's still dealing with the issue. Hyppolite appeared to injure his shoulder late in the first quarter, and he was taken back to the locker room to be evaluated by medical staff. The Bears placed Tremaine Edmunds on injured reserve Saturday with a groin issue. Chicago also has two starting linebackers, T.J.
