  • Jets' Brady Cook: Throws for 60 yards in Week 18

Cook completed 11 of 22 passes for 60 yards and one touchdown while rushing three times for seven yards in Sunday's 35-8 loss to the Bills. He also threw a two-point conversion.

The Jets couldn't get anything going in the regular-season finale, even against a Bills team that played its key starters sparingly, if at all. Cook avoided the embarrassment of being shut out to end the season by throwing a two-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Beck with 7:33 remaining in the fourth quarter, and the undrafted rookie quarterback added a two-point conversion to Quentin Skinner. The Jets are expected to select a quarterback with the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but even if they don't, Cook has shown he may not be the answer under center with just 739 passing yards and a 2:7 TD:INT across five regular-season appearances (four starts).

  • Jets' Brady Cook: Closing regular season as starter

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Wednesday that Cook will start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Cook will close out the 2025 campaign with a fourth consecutive start for New York, though he also played 90 percent of offensive snaps versus Miami in Week 14. The undrafted rookie has failed to lead the team to a single win in that span and has compiled just a 1:7 TD:INT, but Glenn said Cook will remain the starter for Week 18 even with veteran Tyrod Taylor (knee/personal) back in the building. With Justin Fields (knee) on IR, Taylor will act as Cook's backup as long as he's cleared to suit up versus Buffalo.

  • Jets' Brady Cook: Fails to throw TD in Week 17

Cook completed 19 of 33 passes for 152 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the Patriots. He also rushed twice for one yard.

Cook saw his career TD:INT drop to 1:7 through four regular-season appearances (three starts). The undrafted rookie has looked overmatched at the NFL level, but the 3-13 Jets will likely give Cook one more chance to start in Week 18 against the Bills before reassessing their quarterback room in the offseason. The Jets' only touchdown in the lopsided loss to New England came on a 59-yard run by Breece Hall (knee) in the fourth quarter.

  • Jets' Brady Cook: Named Week 17 starter

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Cook will remain the team's starting quarterback versus the Patriots in Week 17.

Cook struggled during New York's 29-6 loss to the Saints in Week 16, completing 22 of 35 pass attempts for 188 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He also lost one fumble and rushed once for two yards. Across three NFL appearances (two starts), Cook has thrown just one touchdown to go with six interceptions, but he'll get at least one more opportunity under center for New York this season. Tyrod Taylor operated as Cook's backup in Week 16, but that could tentatively change if Justin Fields (knee) is able to get healthier ahead of facing New England.

  • Jets' Brady Cook: No TDs, two turnovers in loss

Cook completed 22 of 35 passes for 188 yards and an interception in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints. He also rushed once for two yards and lost a fumble.

Cook threw for only 74 yards in the first half, as the Jets took a 9-6 deficit into the locker room after a touchdown-less first half. The Saints stepped up in the second half while Cook was a bit more productive through the air, but the Jets failed to score after halftime. Cook has a 1:6 TD:INT through three NFL appearances (two starts). Tyrod Taylor recovered enough from groin and knee injuries to dress as the backup Sunday, so it's possible the Jets could turn back to Taylor or Justin Fields (knee) under center against the Patriots in Week 17 over the struggling undrafted rookie Cook.
