Anderson (10-11) allowed five runs on 12 hits and two walks while striking out two over six-plus innings to earn the win over the Royals on Tuesday.
Anderson's outing was much better than the final line indicates, but he was on the hook for all three of the Royals' runs in the seventh inning. He's now allowed 12 runs over his last 11.2 innings, by far the worst two-start stretch of his season. Still, the southpaw has been a bright spot in the Angels' rotation with a 3.46 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 119:58 K:BB through 153.1 innings over 25 starts this year. Anderson is projected to make his next start at Toronto.
