Astros' Alex Bregman: Homers in return to lineup

Bregman (elbow) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Sox.
After missing Houston's previous five games with a swollen elbow, Bregman rejoined the lineup Wednesday at designated hitter and made his presence felt right away, leading off the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot off Cooper Criswell. According to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, Bregman said that his right elbow will be a "fluid situation" for the rest of the season, and though he resumed throwing Wednesday, he could continue to see regular starts at DH rather than third base to help manage the issue. Overall, Bregman is slashing .261/.318/.450 with 20 home runs, 60 RBI, 66 runs and three stolen bases across 513 plate appearances on the season.
