Winn was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
Winn registered a save in his first major-league appearance Tuesday in St. Louis, allowing one run over the final four innings of the Giants' 11-3 win. He wasn't going to be available to pitch for a few days, so the team has decided to bump him off the roster for the time being.
