The Orioles acquired Dominguez and outfielder Cristian Pache from the Phillies in exchange for outfielder Austin Hays on Friday.
Dominguez was a reliable high-leverage bullpen arm for the Phillies in previous seasons, but he's struggled to a 4.75 ERA and career-worst 1.5 HR/9 in 38 outings this year. The right-hander's 40:12 K:BB and 1.22 WHIP are more encouraging, and the Orioles likely hope he can pitch closer to his 3.25 xERA.
