Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
Davis had started behind the plate in the previous two games, but he'll likely see his playing time take a hit after the Pirates recently brought back Endy Rodriguez and Spencer Horwitz from the injured list. Horwitz should settle back in as the Pirates' everyday first baseman, which leaves fewer reps available at the position for Rodriguez, who could end up seeing the bulk of the starts behind the plate as a result.
