Manager Bruce Bochy confirmed Tuesday that Leiter will be called up from Triple-A Round Rock to start Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Leiter has allowed a whopping 17 earned runs over 9.1 innings across his first three MLB starts, but the Rangers will still rely on him to get them through Wednesday's contest. Fortunately for the 24-year-old righty, he will be matched up against the worst offense in the majors, but he still projects as a risky streaming option. His promotion comes after he had looked sharp over his last four outings at Round Rock, compiling a 2.37 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB across 19 innings.
