The Rangers placed Jung on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a fractured right hand.
Jung's move to the injured list will officially rule him out for the rest of the regular season and the start of a potential postseason run, though it's more likely that he remains sidelined until 2027. Cody Freeman and Nicky Lopez are the leading candidates to pick up starts in the infield while Jung is out, and Logan O'Hoppe will come up from Triple-A to replenish Texas' bench depth.
