Jung (calf) resumed jogging Aug. 18 and has also taken part in defensive drills, MLB.com reports.
Jung took a break from baseball activities for about 10 days earlier this month after he had been stuck in a holding pattern in his recovery from a left calf strain, but he seems to have turned a corner over the past week. A recent MRI revealed continued healing in his calf, but he's not yet 100 percent and will likely be eased along slowly in his rehab program. Jung will likely require a rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list, but he won't be cleared to report to an affiliate until he resumes facing live pitching and running the bases at full speed.
