Roth cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
He had a 2.66 ERA at Round Rock earlier this year, splitting time between the rotation and the bullpen, but none of the surrounding numbers back up that run prevention mark. Roth will continue to serve as organizational depth at the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate going forward.
