The Rangers optioned Huff to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Texas needed to clear a spot on the 26-man roster for the return of shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring/illness) from the 10-day injured list, and Huff ended up being the odd man out since the Rangers already have two other available options at catcher (Jonah Heim and Sandy Leon). During his week-long stay with Texas, Huff appeared in five games and went 2-for-10 with a walk and an RBI.
