Red Sox giving Xander Bogaerts MRI on sore knee

Red Sox infielder Xander Bogaerts is getting an MRI on his sore right knee, the team announced on Tuesday, per the Boston Globe.

Bogaerts suffered the injury during Monday's game, but he didn't start feeling pain until Tuesday morning. He's not in the lineup for Tuesday's game.

"He was rounding third base, held up and there was a little bit of a slip," Farrell said, per the Boston Herald. "He continued on in the game with no issue, no complaint, no word of anything. Even after the game he didn’t feel anything. He came in today with increased symptoms, he was examined here and we sent him over for an MRI right now."
