The Red Sox placed Seigler on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to right wrist inflammation.
Seigler's wrist injury flared up during Saturday's game against the Royals, and further tests have revealed that the injury is severe enough for him to spend time on the IL. Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Nick Sogard will be the main depth infield options for Boston while Seigler is on the IL. In a corresponding move, Willson Contreras (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.
