The Red Sox released La Sorsa (concussion) on Thursday.
The Red Sox acquired La Sorsa from the Pirates at the beginning of June. He made one MLB appearance for Boston and surrendered a homer in one-third of an inning. Over six outings at Triple-A Worcester, he allowed no runs on five hits and a walk in 6.1 innings. The southpaw was on the injured list due to a concussion for the past month, and it's unclear if he's fully recovered at this point.
