Pivetta allowed a run on five hits and three walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during a win over the White Sox.
Pivetta gave up a run in the second inning but was able to avoid any further damage despite some shaky command. It was his second straight quality start after failing to finish at least six innings in any of his previous three outings. Pivetta has produced a 4.39 ERA while going 0-2 over his last five appearances and he hasn't earned a win since July 29. He's sporting a 4.38 ERA with a 147:31 K:BB through 123.1 innings this season. Pivetta is in line for a home matchup against the Orioles next week.
