Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Hitting sixth in season opener

Bogaerts will start at shortstop and bat sixth in the order during Monday's season opener against the Pirates, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Bogaerts batted sixth in the Red Sox lineup on just two occasions last season, but it looks like the addition of the lefty-hitting Mitch Moreland and the installment of top prospect Andrew Benintendi into the lineup on a full-time basis may push the shortstop down the order against right-handed pitching. While Bogaerts' placement may not make him an attractive entity in DFS contests Monday at his usual price, those who own him in season-long leagues should obviously keep him active, as he remains capable of offering helpful production across the board.
